Sunday Devo - March 2, 2025

Ephesians 2:8-9
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 
not by works, so that no one can boast.”

Many times over the course of my life I have met people who say they are a good person and that they deserve to go to heaven. Every time I’ve heard this phrase I tend to recoil a bit because it’s not biblical. However, this set of verses encourages us that the Lord’s grace is enough, not our works.

It is said G.R.A.C.E. stands for “God’s Riches At Christ's Expense”. You see, being a nice person is great but the only way to get to heaven is to ask Jesus into your heart and ask for His grace. Then, and only then, can you rest in the assurance that you will be with the Lord in heaven one day.
