Sunday Devo - November 10, 2024

Revelation 1:3 “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.”

We are told in this verse that we are blessed for reading God's word. That shouldn't come as too much of a surprise as believers in Jesus. God's word is filled with many facets of blessing from He who desires that we walk in a way before Him that is spiritually fruitful and spiritually having the effect on others of multiplying.

This is particularly true with the book of Revelation because it speaks of our future in absolute surety. Knowing ahead of time the good things Christ has planned for us is a blessing, especially when we live in a world that is in dire need for the restoration and healing of Jesus Christ. That will happen soon, as it says in this verse "for the time is near".

Continue to read, and study, and meditate on God's word "day and night" as it says in Psalm 1 and you will be truly blessed!
