Philippians 4:13 NKJV
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”

Contentment comes from leaning on Christ not leaning on yourself. Here Paul realized that he needed God’s help; in fact earlier he wrote, “To live is Christ and to die is gain” (Phil 1:21). He understood more than others what it meant to be ridiculed and persecuted for his faith, but he still chose to rejoice in the Lord.

Like Paul, you can’t control what happens to you in your life. But we can choose our reaction to it. You might be going through a difficulty with your job, family or even your spouse; but how do you respond to it?

Now I don’t know what you may be going through, but Jesus does and all you need to do is lean on Him; and in that pain choose His peace because He is greater than your trials.
