Sunday Devo- January 22, 2023

“For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.””  ‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭NKJV
When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, it is amazing how He opens our eyes to the world around us. God reveals to us the emptiness of those “dark” things that we once pursued. In place of such things, God blesses us with peace and purpose that far exceed the empty riches of the world. 
In light of what God has delivered us from, I pray that we heed the following words of Paul:
“But you have not so learned Christ, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.” Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭20‬-‭24‬ ‭NKJV
