Sunday Devo - March 3, 2024

Galatians 5:22-25
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those [who are] Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit."

I find it interesting and relieving to see the very thing I work towards, which is to develop great personal qualities, God gives us as a gift; if we follow him by walking in the Spirit.

While walking in the spirit may seem mysterious or unobtainable, we find right here in God’s Word that it can be our gift. Furthermore, 2 Corinthians 3:18 talks about us being transformed into the same image as the Lord. "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord."

So as we follow the Lord in our Bible study and prayer, He blesses us with the fruit of the Spirit as a gift and into His same image. While our time here on earth can seem like a long spiritual trial or test, we know the best is yet to come.
