Palm Sunday Devo - March 24, 2024

Lamentations 3:19-21
"Remember my affliction and roaming,
The wormwood and the gall. My soul still remembers
And sinks within me. This I recall to my mind,
Therefore I have hope."

 In these verses Jeremiah turned from focusing on his misery and his problems to remembering God’s love and mercy. It’s important to note that God still allows His people to experience pain and sorrow but never more than we can handle. With that, we need to emphasize God doesn’t immediately take us out of a tribulation, because it will strengthen us in Him.

He chastens us, but He doesn't consume us; He disciplines, but He doesn't destroy.
