Sunday Devo - September 24, 2023

“Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil.”  Ephesians 4:26-27 NKJV

Being angry is not a sin. Being angry and dwelling on it can lead to sin, because of our
own selfish interests and pride. That is why this verse says not to sin while we are angry. Paul
encourages the Ephesians, “do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the
devil.”
Some are more subjected to anger than others and can continue to be angry about
something for years. This anger can give the devil a foothold on your heart, and he will try to come between you and the Lord’s fellowship.
That is why Paul says before you go to sleep, or the sun goes down, search your heart, be still and settle your wrath. Stay positive and encourage someone today. I love you all.
