“For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost?” Luke 9:25 NKJV
Prior to committing our lives to the Lord, we thought certain things would make us content. However, we discovered that finding lasting contentment was like chasing a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. It simply couldn’t be found in the things we were chasing.
Thankfully, when we confessed our sins and put our trust in God, we discovered true contentment (Psalm 34:8).
We quickly discovered that those things we once chased could never truly fill the the void in our souls that God (only) was intended to fill.
I pray that God uses us to open the eyes of those that are chasing worldly things for their satisfaction. It isn’t only their satisfaction that is at stake, it is their eternal destiny.
Let’s pursue the lost!

Pastor Mike also some of this in Luke chapter 8 today. Thank you Holy Spirit for the unity in the body of Christ.
