Sunday Devo - August 13, 2023

2 Corinthians 4:16-18
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal."

Life can seem overwhelming with school, work, one issue then another. We can also learn that problems in life are given to us so God will be glorified. One example is the blind man who was healed (John 9).  He was given the trial of blindness so God would be glorified in the healing of this blind man.

Our problems can be given to us so that we learn to trust God and love him more each day as we see how He takes care of us and loves us through these events.

Remember, as Christians, in Christ problems are temporary but the future is bright (very, blindingly bright!!).     -Tim
