Sunday Devo - August 30, 2026

“I will extol You, my God, O King; And I will bless Your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless You, And I will praise Your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable.” Psalm 145:1-3 NKJV

Throughout my walk with Jesus I always have to fight myself before I can fully let go and worship Him. I fight embarrassment, pride, shame. And the questions everyone think at first: “Who is watching me?” “Do I look funny?” Through my many years as a worshiper and growing in my walk I’ve learned, “Who cares who’s watching?”. I’m not trying to win a popularity contest. Lift my arms, clap my hands and singing praise is just an expression of what God has done in my life. Some Christians like to skip the worship portion of the church service, and show up when the sermon starts, or skip the worship portion cause the worship leader doesn’t meet their preferences.

This verse in Psalms is just one of many examples in the Bible expressing what we will be doing in heaven for eternity.
