Sunday Devo - June 22, 2025

Philippians 2:3-4 “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.
Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.”

When I was younger, I thought I was the best thing since sliced bread. The conceit was real. It was hard for me to think of others when I was always thinking of myself. And if I did seem like I was being considerate, I was mostly doing it for selfish ambitions. No
bueno. 
Praise the Lord! I have changed. I was learning little by little once I rededicated my life to God and chose to follow Him in 2017. But it wasn’t until 3.14.2021 was when I really learned what this verse meant. This verse is talking about unity and the steps to get there. I won’t get into it here, but know this - the main culprit to unions falling apart is self.
