Sunday Devo - June 29, 2025

Luke 21:14, 15 “Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer; for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist.”
 
Notice Jesus’ choice of words here, He says, ‘settle it in your hearts’. He is telling us not to worry or be anxious about what we will say to our adversaries who may challenge our faith, that we can trust and be confident that Jesus will indeed give us the words and wisdom in that moment when it is needed. 
I believe there are many other things that Jesus would tell us to ‘settle it’ in our hearts about. ‘Settle it’ that regardless of how you feel, that He will always love you (Romans 8:38,39). ‘Settle it’ that despite having no financial resources to sustain you, that He will provide for you (Matthew 6:25-34). ‘Settle it’ that when you feel alone and distant from Him, that He will never leave you or forsake you (Matthew 28:20).
What would Jesus tell you, that you need to ‘settle it’ in your heart about Him and His promises today? 
Trust Him completely, for He is faithful, steadfast and true!
