Sunday Devo - October 5, 2025

“Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.”  Ephesians 4:31-32 NKJV

This passage is like going to the gym to work out your muscles (except spiritually). Daily, I need let go of bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking and also, at the same time, being kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave me.
 
What I’ve come to find out is the more I follow this passage the easier it becomes. Just like lifting 50 lbs every day; eventually it’ll get lighter and lighter. It’s our responsibility as believers to act and cultivate goodwill, rather than relying on God to remove these behaviors for us.
