Sunday Devo - August 17, 2025

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me".   (Matthew 16:24)

Jesus reminds us that following Him is not about comfort, but about surrender. Denying ourselves means laying aside our own desires, pride, and plans, choosing instead to trust His will.

Taking up our cross is not a one-time act but a daily commitment—a willingness to endure challenges, sacrifice, and even rejection for His sake.

True discipleship is found not in chasing our own way, but in faithfully walking after Jesus, step by step.
